MeatJuice is an inside joke turned pseudonym. 

 

The pseudonym allows me to communicate to an audience that i work with humor, you are allowed to laugh and breath within the spaces I create, and from my own experience it becomes a lot easier to enter a space you're unsure or intimidated by if you can do so from a humors/ joyus perspective. The feeling of needing to understand or intellectually perform diminishes a little.

My art practice is rooted in my interest for communication theory and language. My main source of fuel comes from highlighting aspects of daily life and tying them to concepts and theories from my favorite literature, and through that finding different angles of understanding contemporary society. This is partially a way for me to digest my impressions but also a way to develop a feeling of agency.

 

In my multidisciplinary practice I work to create large blocks and read threads between the different mediums and points of inspiration in order to later on carve out the most essential parts that make it into the final piece. When narrowing it down thematically I mainly explore such things as identity, narrative and communication. 

 

I draw a very harsh line between the commercial aspects of my practice and the passion projects .The commercial projects support my art by giving me a chance to reiterate on concepts and aesthetic choices in a fast paced manner that later on helps me narrow things down when moving forward with larger ones. They also help me meet an audience that I wouldn't otherwise.
